Everything these needs network access, and it can get complicated. Between limiting traffic between networking segments, optimizing performance storage traffic, and balancing security with usability: it can be a lot to juggle.

Wired

We're familiar with wired networking at the core, border, and access layer. We can balance your external circuits with BGP, set up your VLANs so that they're trunked throughout your network properly, and set up relevant firewall rules and router acls.

Our primary experience is with Cisco, like most network administrators, but have also worked with Juniper, Unifi, Meraki, and most firewall vendors.

NOTE: We don't wire buildings, but are happy to work with your favorite electrical contractor to get cables to the right places.

Wireless

Yep, we do this, too! We've got experience primarily with Meraki, Unifi, and Cisco, but can work with most network vendors. We've managed small offices and large event spaces, and are familiar with capacity scaling.

Infiniband

Sometimes you need high throughput, low latency networking to support your storage and/or HPC needs. We can help! Our vendor experience is primarily with Mellanox.

What use cases that would require this?

• clustered filesystems - filesystems like gluster, lustre, and ceph can all benefit from the speed and low latency of Infiniband.
• RDMA / MPI - Certain HPC jobs utilize multiple compute nodes simultaneously through the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard and use Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) to have all nodes share the same virtual memory space. This is sped up considerably via Infiniband.
