Wired

We're familiar with wired networking at the core, border, and access layer. We can balance your external circuits with BGP, set up your VLANs so that they're trunked throughout your network properly, and set up relevant firewall rules and router acls.

We have the most experience with Cisco, Juniper, Unifi, Meraki. If it's been in operations and most firewall vendors.

NOTE: We don't wire buildings, but are happy to work with your favorite electrical contractor to get cables to the right places.

Wireless

More and more devices connect over WiFi as time goes on. Single access points and mesh networks don't always keep up with increased need.

We've got experience primarily with Meraki, Unifi, and Cisco, but can work with most network vendors. We've designed and managed wireless networks on scales spanning from small offices to large event spaces. We're very familiar with dealing with capacity and scaling.

Sometimes you need high throughput, low latency networking to support your storage or HPC needs.

What are some use cases that would require this?

• clustered filesystems - filesystems like gluster, lustre, and ceph can all benefit from the speed and low latency of Infiniband.
• RDMA / MPI - Certain HPC jobs utilize multiple compute nodes simultaneously through the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard and use Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) to have all nodes share the same virtual memory space. This is sped up considerably via Infiniband.
